Protein Overnight Oats
This next Ramadan recipe is so simple and easy for suhoor. Being able to prep the night before can be really helpful so early in the morning if you don’t have much time. These protein overnight oats were my go to last year and have continued to be a staple for my busy mornings. I like to use chocolate protein powder and banana because I love the combination but the best part of overnights oats is there‘s so many flavors that can be made.
Any of these ingredients can be swapped. Almond milk can be swapped with whole,oat, etc.
Banana can be swapped with any fruit.
Sweetener can added if you prefer.
Can add in any nut butter you like.
These oats can be eaten straight from the refrigerator or warmed up on two minutes for cakier texture.
This recipe can be doubled for a larger portion.
1/2 cup oats
3/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp Chia seeds
1 tsp flax seeds
1 scoop any protein powder
In a mason jar or any container with a lid, pour in the oats.
Add in your choice of liquid and stir.
Next, add in the chia seeds, flax seeds, and protein powder.
Mash up the banana and add that in as well as the cinnamon.
Mix everything together really well and put the lid on.
Put them in the fridge overnight.
The next morning add any toppings you’d like and enjoy!
