Excited to start my Ramadan recipes with these Sweet Potato Patties! This recipe was inspired by one of my favorite Turkish restaurants in DC, Ottoman Taverna. They have an appetizer called Patates Köfte, which are fried potato patties topped with a yogurt sauce and feta cheese. I decided to make a version inspired by theirs but used sweet potato instead. The slight crisp from the light fry on the patty combined with the creamy slightly sweet inside topped with the cooling cucumber yogurt sauce and salty feta is the perfect combination. These are perfect for Ramadan!
Note:
You can replace the sweet potato with regular potatoes if you prefer
